Here is the proof:&lt;br /&gt;
At 105 ships, I buy the upgrade.  I have a minimum of 6 hours before I will see another.  For each ship I buy over that, it only take about TWO hours to pay for itself.&lt;br /&gt;
Price of upgrade if I go to, and stick with 111 ships: 32,056,800&lt;br /&gt;
If I buy the 112th ship, the price will jump 288,800&lt;br /&gt;
in 6 hours, that one extra ship will get you 5600 more a turn&lt;br /&gt;
288,800/5600 = 51.571429&lt;br /&gt;
That&#039;s how many turns it will take you to make up for that extra ship, which is just over 4 te3k years, and under the 6 RL hours.&lt;br /&gt;
Just something to think about!&lt;br /&gt;

:I will add to this, saying that selling ships to get closer to the required ships for an upgrade will cost a player significantly more, than just riding it out.  Up to a point, it will end up costing some more than it&#039;s worth to have too many ships, but I&#039;m too lazy to do that much math!&lt;/div&gt;</summary>
