Trying to keep this a little more up to date…
Work is mostly going well. There’s plenty of it, at the very least. Simultaneously trying to add Turnitin support to our main project, rework an old accountancy project, and try finding time to work on a project that may or may not be funded any more. Have recently discovered my job appears to have ceased being anyone’s responsibility; personnel are aware merely that it’s centrally funded and runs until I retire, and the central funding people are far too busy elsewhere to worry about having only given us funding until March. May be very good, may be very bad.
Stock market auto-trader going nowhere on account of having no time for it. Possibly not aided by Fallout 3, which is a lot of fun (even if I’m only about 10 hours in), if buggy as hell. Feel kind of bad I don’t have time for any WoW or WAR with friends that play them, but such is life.
Have been writing up and releasing scripts for the Second Life® virtual world (they’re on XStreetSL if you’re interested). Making about £9/week off sales at the moment, which isn’t exactly great but is a start (if anyone from inland revenue is reading this; I’ll pay income taxes on that if I can charge the workstation, monitor, network connection and electricity as business expenses, which would put me a total loss of a couple of thousand for this financial year).
I’ve got most of my winter-holiday-present-giving-celebration-of-your-choice shopping done, and wrapped where feasible. Feel terribly organised. Oh, and I now have a cold, just to make my week complete.
So far this week, half a kilogram of cofee, one Investor’s Chronicle and a spotlight have all disappeared on their way to me. This is not happy-making!
